Melissa King, Miss Delaware Teen USA, resigned her crown on Tuesday after a porn site posted a video claiming to include the pageant winner. Initially, King denied being in the video stating that she was aware of the video, "Absolutely not," she said. "It is not."
Tuesday, Delaware USA pageant spokesperson, Dara Busch, issued a statement, "I would like to confirm to you that the Miss Delaware Teen USA pageant has received a resignation letter from Miss King's attorney."
The video is just over five minutes in length and begins with an interview on a hotel bed. The woman does not give her name, but when asked when she turned 18 by an unidentified man she says, "about three months ago, March."
According to the Miss Delaware Teen USA website, which was has been removed due to maintenance, King's birthday was in March and she turned 18 now.
The video features the interviewer asking questions about if the woman has a boyfriend, when was the last time she had sex, how old she was the first time she had sex, and why she decided to do her first adult video. "I thought it'd be fun and it sounded like I needed the money," the woman says. "So I just decided to do it."
He also asked her about being a, "Miss Teen?"
When the woman acts reluctant to talk about it, he says "I'm not going to say the state or anything. You did beauty pageants?"
"I've done them, yes," she responds.
King was crowned Miss Delaware Teen USA in November, however, at the time the video was shot she was the reigning Miss Teen Delaware International 2012.
Following the interview, the woman and a man, whose face is never seen, perform several different sex acts.
Busch, vice president and managing director with Rubenstein Public Relations, said the runner-up will take King's position.
