Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan arrived in Hawaii on Feb. 10. She landed at about 12:20 p.m. HST in Honolulu and caught a connecting flight to Maui.
Hagan, is visiting the islands to promote Amway and meet leaders of its Artistry skincare and cosmetics division.
"Amway is a proud sponsor of the Miss America Organization, the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women," the company stated on its website. "Together, through the Amway scholarships, we’ll work to empower women to follow their dreams and achieve their goals."
As Miss America, Hagan is the Artistry brand’s official ambassador.
Hagan, 23, has logged thousands of miles in travel since her crowning as Miss America on Jan. 12.
In addition to a variety of TV appearances, she was in Washington, D.C. for several days for inaugural-related events and promotional activities for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
While in the D.C. area, she also visited the D.C. General Homeless Shelter, the National Service Summit on the National Mall and the Bethesda Naval Hospital.
Earlier this month, she participated in IHOP’s National Pancake Day to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals.
She also helped raise money for The Taste of the NFL, the football league’s annual fundraiser for the needy that is held over Super Bowl weekend.
