On Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, the third preliminary night of competition for this year's Miss America pageant took place. The competition was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Rosie Sauvageau, Miss North Dakota America took Thursday night's preliminary Talent competition for her Vocal/Piano Solo performance of "To Make You Feel My Love." As the winner of the talent competition, Rosie will receive a $2,000 Amway scholarship. Miss Washington, Mandy Schendel, won the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness competition in a white Catalina swimsuit. Mandy will receive a $1,000 Amway scholarship.
The Miss America Organization is the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women and one of the nation's leading achievement programs. The Miss America Organization distributed more than $45 million in scholarship assistance.
