The Misha May Foundation (MMF), a Lakewood nonprofit organization that rehabilitates difficult to place dogs, is holding a "Melodies for Mutts" event at the Grand Ballroom in Golden on Friday, March 18, from 5 to 10 p.m.
The event includes A Capella Choir and Strolling Quartet. Guests are welcome to sing with the quartet or on their own for a $5 donation per song. Guests can also buy food a la carte including appetizers, pasta, salad and dessert, and a cash bar will be available. Other events include door prizes, animal communication sessions for $1 per minute, caricatures for $5 per head and a live auction with Schwab and Golighty Auctions. Donations for the live auction are still needed. Please contact the foundation at mishamayfoundation@gmail.com or call 303-239-0382.
Tickets for the event are $15. Call MMF at 303-239-0382 or use the "Make a Donation" button at the Misha May Foundation website (in the right-side column). Says MMF founder and executive director Lorraine May, "Join us for fun and fundraising, to ensure that The Misha May Foundation is able to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home many more dogs at risk, regardless of breed or mix, behavior or medical issue. We save animals from euthanasia and foster them for as long as it takes to find a home."
The Grand Ballroom of The Golden Hotel is located at 800 Eleventh Street in Golden. Event dress is casual.
