Mirrodin Besieged Doom Inevitable Intro Pack

Doom is definitely Inevitable in Magic: The Gathering's Mirrodin Besieged Doom Inevitable Intro Pack, a Phyrexian ensemble that eschews any sort of infectious road to victory.  A blue/black approach to Phyrexian philosophy powered by a foil Psychosis Crawler and a Bonehoard in the rare slots, Doom Inevitable combines Phyrexian sacrifice with the new living weapon equipment mechanic.

If you're new to the Intro Pack, this is a Magic: The Gathering deck fully ready to play with a preconstructed assortment of 60 cards, and they also come with a booster pack to help tweak things a little.

Let's take a look at the Doom Inevitable decklist:

2x Fume Spitter

2x Myr Sire

3x Oculus

We're going to come right out and say it - Doom Inevitable is by far one of the most cohesive Intro Packs we've had the pleasure of seeing.  We've come a long way from the 40 card decks thrown together from seemingly random stuff, and this one is right along par with the Scars of Mirrodin Phyrexian Poison, as the theme stays solid throughout "almost" every card selection.  We're always happy to call out questionable Intro Packs, but this isn't one of them.

Doom Inevitable features plenty of great sacrifice outlets for your Vivisection and comes with plenty of removal spells.  You'll be filling up the graveyards fast to take advantage of your Bonehoard and have plenty of ways to sap the opponent's life without even making direct contact.

Possibly the best part of the Doom Inevitable Intro Pack is the glut of living weapon equipment.  Living weapons come into play with a Germ attached, so you've got a creature outfitted and ready to go as soon as they hit the field for no additional cost.

If the game goes long, you can always pay the premium and stick the gear on your random utility creatures, that will shine with the significant boosts.

There's a few cheap changes you can make here to improve Doom Inevitable, like swapping out the few odd additions - Barony Vampire and Armored Cancrix really have no place here, and some additional Skinrenders or removal spells would fill those slots nicely, and should be easy enough to trade for with the contents of your bonus booster pack.

If you're looking for an Intro Pack that embodies Phyrexian style-strategies without going the infect route, Doom Inevitable is the Intro Pack for you, and will get your right into the swing of Scars of Mirrodin and Mirrodin Besieged.
