Miraval is one of my favorite places on earth and now the destination spa is opening its somewhat pricey doors to more people though its Miraval Gives Back Program.
It’s sad that the people most in need of a wellness makeover are often the people who simply can’t afford to do it. This program aims to change that. Miraval Gives Back provides individuals chosen for the program with the opportunity to receive expert advice and instruction on topics such as how to manage stress, develop more stable sleep patterns and achieve a more mindful and present lifestyle. Additionally the guests are able to participate in a range of fitness classes, outdoor activities, meditative sessions and innovative spa services to heal themselves both physically and emotionally.
To be considered for Miraval Gives Back, an individual must be nominated with a 500-description by the nominator about the challenges the nominees is facing.
“Helping guests cultivate a mindful, healthy lifestyle is the cornerstone of the Miraval philosophy,” says Michael Tompkins, CEO of Miraval Resort & Spa. “However, not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to visit our resort to relax, recover and rejuvenate. “Miraval Gives Back” enables us to offer a Miraval experience to those that need it most.”
Winners are selected by a committed on a monthly basis and receive a three-night inclusive stay.
