Miranda Ward was crowned Miss University of Alabama 2013 on Feb. 16, according to Miss Alabama Anna Laura Bryan.

The winner of the state title will represent Alabama and the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City.
Originally from Rainsville, Ward lives in Tuscaloosa.

The pageant was held in Bama Theatre on the university campus.
She was crowned by Miss University of Alabama 2012 Caitlin Brunell.
