Miranda Lambert wishes Blake Shelton would just stop talking

Since Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got married in 2011, their lives have become much busier and that can make it very difficult to find time together. In the latest issue of Redbook magazine, Miranda Lambert reveals that sometimes, she just wants Blake Shelton to stop talking.

Blake Shelton, who is known for his charming personality, opens his arms to fans all the time–perhaps a little too much, according to Miranda Lambert. She tells Redbook:

"He's the sweetest guy. Like, he will talk to anyone, sign anything, take a picture with everyone. And if I don't stop it at some point, it ruins our whole night. I have to be the bad guy."

While fans who have had the unfortunate experience of running into Miranda Lambert's side step when they were the fifteenth person in line to talk to Blake Shelton might feel slighted, it's understandable why Miranda Lambert might want some private time with her husband.

Since their engagement and wedding, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton's careers have skyrocketed, making them busier than ever. Blake Shelton's tv show, The Voice, has become one of the most popular reality tv shows to date. Since Team Blake has won two out of three seasons, his own popularity has increased as well. Blake Shelton also released Red River Blue, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Miranda Lambert released Four the Record, went on tour and formed an all-girl band, Pistol Annies. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert also brought their total of CMA Awards for Top Male and Female Artists to three. In addition, the pair picked up two more ACM Awards for the top Male and Female Vocalist categories, bringing Miranda Lambert's total to three consecutive wins and Blake Shelton's to two. Furthermore, in November of 2012, Blake Shelton was crowned the CMA Entertainer of the Year.

Add to this all the public appearances and performances they each do and needless to say, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are lucky to squeeze in five minutes of couple time. While it's true that people give up their anonymity when they pursue a celebrity career, it isn't healthy for a marriage if all of their time is given to fans. When put in the perspective of their demanding schedules and wanting this power couple to stay together for a lifetime, hopefully fans can forgive Miranda Lambert if she pulls her hubby away from the spotlight once in a while.
