Miranda Lambert made a big splash on the charts with her fifth album release titled "Platinum." Billboard reported on June 11, 2014 that Lambert earned her first number one album debut on the Billboard 200 chart with "Platinum" landing in the top spot. Lambert’s latest album was released on June 3, 2014 and reached the number one position by selling 180,000 copies following the albums release.

Lambert reached her best sales week with the release of "Platinum" and also got her name added to the list of female country artists with the largest sales for an album since December of 2012 when Taylor Swift sold 241,000 copies of "Red" during the nine weeks following the albums debut in the number one position.

Lambert also becomes the eleventh female country artist to make it to the top of the Billboard 200 chart following Swift who made it happen for her first time when she released "Fearless" in November of 2008. Lambert also took the top spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with the debut of "Platinum" that features the hits “Automatic” and her duet with Carrie Underwood titled "Something Bad” for the fifth time in her career.

Lambert had already claimed a new Billboard title for her smash hit with Underwood when their duet "Something Bad” landed in the number five spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart earning the ladies a new title for the highest debut for a single since Dec. 29, 2012 when Cassadee Pope’s cover of Keith Urban's "Stupid Boy" made its debut in the number three spot.

Lambert and Underwood made their live debut of "Something Bad” together at the “Billboard Music Awards” and reunited on stage to perform the hit during the 2014 “CMT Music Awards.” Lambert also kept the performance spotlight on her when she took part in George Strait’s final concert performance for “The Cowboy Rides Away Tour 2014” which broke the concert attendance record with an audience of nearly 105,000 people watching at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Lambert showed her excitement and appreciation for her fans making this happen by saying “THANK YOU to the music lovers who believe in albums and spent your hard-earned money on 16 songs!” Lambert added “16 songs that all say something important to me. I hope that they also speak to you, and I hope you enjoy listening to Platinum. Thank you to the incredible musicians, songwriters, producers and artists that put this record together. I’m the luckiest girl in the world, blessed with the best fans!”
