Lambert’s nine nominations earned her the title for the most nominations for a female in the CMA Awards history. Lambert is the only female in the running for the Entertainer of the Year title and trophy at “The 48th Annual CMA Awards.” Lambert is facing four other nominees in the category including her husband Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, George Strait and Keith Urban.

Taylor Swift was the last female to claim the Entertainer of the Year trophy in 2011 following her earlier win in 2009 while The Dixie Chicks earned the title in 2000. Lambert got to also hear her name called in the Single of the Year and Song of the Year categories with "Automatic" and she is also in the running for Album of the Year with “Automatic.”

Carrie Underwood and Lambert scored two CMA nominations together for their hit single “Somethin’ Bad.” The song put the pair in the running for the Musical Event of the Year category where Lambert is a double nominee for her work with Keith Urban on “We Were Us.” Other nominees include Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton for "You Can't Make Old Friends," “Bakersfield” from Vince Gill and Paul Franklin and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill with "Meanwhile Back at Mama's."

Lambert kept the girl power going with “Somethin’ Bad” also earning a nomination in the Music Video of the Year category with Underwood where the song will be competing against Lady Antebellum for “Bartender,” “Drunk On A Plane” from Dierks Bentley, Kacey Musgraves with “Follow Your Arrow” and faces off against Lambert and Urban once again for “We Were Us.”

Lambert could also walk away with the top female trophy in the the Female Vocalist of the Year category where she competes against Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Martina McBride and Taylor Swift for the win. We will get to hear the winning names announced when Underwood and Brad Paisley reunite to host “The 48th Annual CMA Awards” happen on Nov. 5, 2014 on ABC.
