Lately it seems, the more weight you lose, the more jealousy and negativity it will breed. According to Beauty World News on Dec. 3, 2013, Miranda Lambert is not an exception to this rule. She recently showed off her amazing weight loss, and instead of fans being proud of her, what she experienced left her speechless.
She was proud of accomplishment, as she should be. She showed her amazing figure at the 2013 Country Music Awards. People couldn’t stop talking about it, but not the way she had hoped. She was plagued with rumors of extreme dieting and cosmetic surgery to get her results.
Miranda is firing back. She said she never responds to the tabloids. It’s all part of the job. However, she wanted to set the record straight that she did NOT have any weight loss surgery. She assured her fans that she lost weight just like the rest of us trying to shed weight. She cut calories, ate whole foods and exercised religiously.
It is still a mystery just how much weight she actually lost. When asked Miranda replies, “ I shed a few pounds”.
What do you think of those who are making those who are fit or lose weight feel bad about themselves? How is this different than fat shaming?
