Miranda Lambert said her recent 25-pound weight loss was motivated by a desire to improve her health, and was not a reaction to rumors that her marriage was on the rocks.

The smoking-hot Lambert is disgusted that the public often ascribes motives to her actions that have no basis in truth.

"It just feels like you can't do anything for yourself anymore," Miranda told Billboard. "Have you ever thought I might just be turning 30 and trying to get a little ahead of the game [with my weight loss]? Isn't that just a normal thing to do?"

Junk-Food Diet Caused Weight Gain

Lambert lost 25 pounds ahead of her 30th birthday (in November 2013), saying she wanted to turn over a new leaf as she entered a new decade.

The physical transformation mirrored internal changes in her, including becoming more self-confident and more responsible about the direction of her career, health, and life. The result has been a calmer, more centered, Miranda.

"I feel like people have accepted me for who I am, with all the craziness, loudness and fire," said Lambert. "At some point, you calm down. I'm happy. I'm more settled."

Miranda, who's married to country superstar Blake Shelton, made headlines after debuting her stunning 25-pound weight loss at the 2013 CMA Awards. She was shocked at the amount of attention she received after the weight loss, because she didn't think anyone would notice.

Miranda said her junk-food diet during her 20s resulted in dramatic weight fluctuations, but she finally wanted to take charge of her health. She credited a portion-controlled diet and rigorous cardio and circuit-training workouts for her jaw-dropping slim-down.

"I spent my 20s on a roller coaster — my yo-yo weight, working all the time and partying," she said. I just wanted to get healthier and go into my thirties in the best shape I could be in.”

'I Did Not Get Weight-Loss Surgery'

Lambert recently slammed rumors that her weight loss was due to plastic surgery. A furious Miranda denied she underwent weight-loss surgery, and underscored that she had slimmed down the "good old-fashioned" way: through diet and exercise.

"I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight," she blogged. "That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good-old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield."

Lambert said her three-year marriage to Blake Shelton is going strong, and is annoyed by the spate of ridiculous rumors that they're on the brink of splitting up. "I've had like five sets of twins in the last two years, and we've been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce," she laughed.

Miranda, who has sold more than five million alums, drops her fifth album, Platinum, next month.
