Miranda Lambert might be a country star, but she is also an animal lover. The country singer is currently working on her music, but her humanitarian effort on Tuesday has the entire country music fan base talking about her. Stopping to help a lost dog, the star picked up a dog in the middle of the road. The furry creature was left in a very disturbing way with the food bowl and bed also left behind.
“I just picked this up on the west side of Tishomingo on hwy 22. Please contact Tish animal shelter if he is yours,” tweeted Miranda Lambert from her official Twitter account. “He was in the middle of the hwy with his food bowl and bed...If it wasn't an accident someone is really sick.”
There has been an outpouring of love for the animal that Miranda Lambert found. With fans surprised that a dog would be left in the highway and then all the supplies there too, there seems to be plenty of unanswered questions. However, the good news is that the dog will find a good home and that sounds like it will be with Miranda Lambert at the moment.
“I'm calling him 'Pistol Andy' in honor of the @PistolAnnies record #annieup being announced today! lil Andy,” tweeted Miranda Lambert about the dog. “I guess the pup is mine till I find him a little boy somewhere to live him!”
The kindness of Miranda Lambert can’t be denied. Saving pets one at a time, the star seems to be helping the four-legged creatures even when she is making music.
