Miranda Lambert showed she’s ready for the upcoming “47th Annual CMA Awards” by posting “Gooooodmorning music city. CMA week starts now!” on her Facebook page on Nov. 4, 2013. Miranda Lambert is heading into the show with five nominations and her husband Blake Shelton also scored five nominations for the big night.
The couple shares two nominations for Blake Shelton's "Boys 'Round Here" which features Lambert’s trio Pistol Annies nominated for Musical Event of the Year and Video of the year. Lambert received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Single of the Year and Music Video of the Year which are both for "Mama's Broken Heart."
Lambert talked to CMT about the nominations and the couple’s careers saying "I don't think we even realize what all has happened to us in the last year or two years. I'm ready to sort of sit back and Google myself and be like What have I been doing?" Lambert continued "All this great stuff's been happening and I haven't been able to enjoy it because there's so much other stuff going on."
Shelton heard his name announced in the “Entertainer of the Year” category again after taking home the title for that category in 2012. Lambert showed support for her husband by saying “Blake really deserves to be in the spotlight right now" adding "He's making country music look great now on national television every week, and I just feel like it's his time."
Lambert and Shelton will both be taking the stage as performers during the “47th Annual CMA Awards” which are set happen on Nov. 6, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood joining forces once again as co-hosts for the show.
