Miranda Lambert is excited about performing on the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards later tonight. She will be singing with George Strait. According to an April 6 report by Just Jared, Blake Shelton's other half, Lambert, believes she has reached her “peak.”

The “peak” that Lambert has reached is “singing for Merle Haggard with George Strait. She said that she is “totally pumped” for her performance at the ACM Awards.

...People would ask me who my biggest influence is,” Lambert said. “Id' always say Merle Haggard.”

In her opinion, Haggard is “absolutely the king.” She called his voice “buttery smooth.” She also thinks the “Okie from Muskogee” singer deserves the title of “king” because of his songwriting skills. Lambert is hoping to “do him justice” during her performance at the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Her husband, Oklahoma's own Blake Shelton, is the co-host of the ACM Awards. The 2014 Country Music Academy Awards will air tonight, on CBS, at 7 p.m. CDT.
