Miranda Lambert is beginning to shift from one point in her life to the next and that includes her softened attitude and image according to an interview with People Country on March 25, 2014. Lambert talked about her "I'll burn your house down if you don't listen to me" attitude.
Lambert explained her attitude change saying "That attitude brought me here and got me where I am" adding "But that was me in my 20s. The chip on my shoulder is gone. I feel like people have accepted me for who I am, with all the craziness, loudness and fire" adding "At some point, you calm down. I'm happy. I'm more settled. I've put down roots."
Lambert talked about the roots she has put down through her marriage to fellow country superstar Blake Shelton when she discussed her new song "Automatic." The song lyrics had people wondering if there was trouble in paradise for the couple. Lambert said "There were rumors that it was about our marriage, that it had become boring and predictable. How do people even think that up?"
Lambert said "It's not easy when everyone is trying to tear you down, but you make a commitment and you stick to it. In other parts of the entertainment world, it sometimes seems like marriage is so disposable. But country has some enduring marriages –Johnny and June, George and Nancy, Faith and Tim. I'm thankful we have those role models.”
Lambert’s new album “Platinum” will be released June 3, 2014 and she is not only the proud singer of the songs on her latest album but she also put her heart into writing eight of the songs included on “Platinum.” Lambert said “All 16 songs together make up a picture, and without one of those songs, it just looks like abstract art” adding “I wanted it to be perfect; I wanted it to matter” when she described her new music.
