Miranda Lambert covering Lady Gaga in concerts (VIDEO)

As much as she's hatin' on Chris Brown, Miranda Lambert is showing love for her newfound friend Lady Gaga, who she was seated next to at the 2012 Grammy Awards. The two hit it off during the event, and Lambert is paying homage to the pop superstar by covering her song "You and I" at her shows on her current tour, starting in North Carolina and continuing for her San Antonio show.

The country star did make the song her own, as they say on all the music contest shows, and even modified the lyrics a bit in North Carolina to refer to a "North Carolina guy" instead of "Nebraska guy" in one verse, and then an "Oklahoma guy" the second time around, which is presumably a reference to husband and Okie Blake Shelton.

Speaking of Shelton and music contests, the country singer also known as Mrs. Shelton will be joining her other half this season on his huge hit, "The Voice," as one of his advisors for his team of contestants. That's sure to create a huge meltdown for at least one team member, who had the courage to sing "Hell on Hells" for her audition, a song by Pistol Annies, which Lambert is also a member of.

The last time someone tried to cover a Lambert song, Shelton did not hit his button for them, so it was a risky strategy for RaeLynn, who was gushing about how Lambert is her inspiration after Shelton turned his chair.

"Well ... I just happen to know her!" Shelton shot back.

Lambert continues her "On Fire Tour" tonight back in Fayetteville, NC.
