Lambert hit the stage as a performer during the NBC special that took place in New York. The “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” began in 1976 and made its return to the Brooklyn Bridge for the first time since 1995.

Lambert was included on a list of performers taking the stage for the NBC fireworks spectacular to celebrate our country. The all star lineup for the special celebration also included Hunter Hayes, Zac Brown Band, Enrique Iglesias, Ariana Grande, Lionel Richie and Idina Menzel who took the stage to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" during the 38th annual special hosted by Nick Cannon.

Lambert started her week off by celebrating her single “Automatic” reaching Platinum status during a 50’s themed party in honor of the lyrics of the hit on June 30, 2014 along with her co-writers on the single Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby. “Automatic” marks the seventh time Lambert has reached the top spot in her career.

Hemby worked with Lambert on her earlier hits “White Liar,” "Only Prettier" and "Baggage Claim" showed her appreciation for Lambert during the celebration by saying "Thank you for listening to my cockamemy ideas and thank you for being such a great artist and writer yourself. You are a trailblazer, and you have set the bar really high."

Lambert earned her first number one album debut on the Billboard 200 chart with "Platinum" that features the hits “Automatic” and her duet with Carrie Underwood titled "Something Bad” landing in the top spot following the albums June 3, 2014 release. "Something Bad” also scored Lambert and Underwood a new Billboard title for the highest debut for a single since Cassadee Pope’s cover of Keith Urban's "Stupid Boy" made its debut Dec. 29, 2012.

Lambert reached her best sales week with the release of "Platinum" and had her name added to the history books by earning the honor of becoming the eleventh female country artist to make it to the top of the Billboard 200 chart. Lambert will keep the celebrating going when she hits the road on July 10, 2014 for the launch of her "Platinum Tour" with special guests Justin Moore and Thomas Rhett.
