Miranda Lambert and Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong offered a stunning musical tribute to Phil Everly at the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. The entertainers shared the stage in a very moving performance of When Will I Be Loved, a song that Linda Ronstadt also famously covered. Miranda and Billie Joe sounded beautiful as the Green Day band member played an acoustic guitar.

Fans young and old felt the lost off Phil Everly. The Everly Brothers, both Phil and Don shot to fame with a number of hits and gave fans music that is still appreciated today. Songs like Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie and All I Have to Do Is Dream have been on countless movies and heard on radios around the world.

The tribute to the star was moving and didn’t bring Miranda Lambert’s weight loss or Billie Joel Armstrong’s fame into the moment. Instead it was about two stars who honored a man that gave his life to music. And Miranda and Billie Joel did their part on the Grammy stage perfectly.
