Victoria's Secret supermodel Miranda Kerr is wearing a neck brace after suffering a serious neck injury when her car was rear-ended in Los Angeles, said her rep.
"She is in a lot of pain but really, we are just glad that it was not more serious," Kerr's rep, Annie Kelly, told Australia's Nine News March 13.
Kerr's car was hit from behind on March 11 when she was driving on an L.A. freeway. Miranda's husband, actor Orlando Bloom, and two-year-old son, Flynn, were not in the vehicle at the time. The driver of the other vehicle has reportedly been arrested and may face reckless-driving charges.
Kerr, 29, was rushed to a local hospital after the accident and underwent MRI scans. So far, the Australian supermodel is recovering well and was photographed walking around Los Angeles wearing a neck brace. "[Orlando's] taking very good care of her," says her rep. "He's an amazing husband."
On March 14, Miranda tweeted to 1.4 million Twitter followers, "Thanks for all the messages of support, I'm on the mend!"
