Supermodel Miranda Kerr showcased her super-fit bikini body on the sun-splashed beaches of Cancun via Instagram. Kerr, 29, was in Mexico for the weekend to promote a new Louis Vuitton boutique.
The 5-foot-9 Victoria's Secret supermodel has become rich and famous thanks to her amazing physique, which is the result of an organic diet and daily exercise. Kerr, who grew up climbing trees and running around at her my grandparents’ farm in Australia, has always led an outdoorsy, active lifestyle.
"I live by the philosophy that beauty starts from within and I make a conscious effort to fill my body with nutrients through the food I eat," Miranda told Esquire. "Becoming a mother has made me even more aware and more passionate about nutrition and wellness, so much so that I am now a certified health coach practitioner."
Kerr is so passionate about fitness and health that she would be a nutritionist if she weren't a model. "I'd be a naturopath or nutritionist [if I didn't model] — I am so passionate about health," she said.
Miranda's daily workouts always involve a combination of yoga, low-impact cardio, resistance and functional exercise, combined with high-energy training such as boxing or running.
"I make sure I do half an hour of yoga in the morning so I’m feeling good," she said. "I have been working out quite a bit doing Pilates and yoga and strength-training with weights and resistant bands, and I eat super-healthy."
Kerr, who easily lost the 40 pounds she gained while pregnant, naturally gravitates toward healthy food, and doesn't believe in starvation diets or deprivation.
"I love food and enjoy eating fresh organic produce," said Miranda, who has a son with actor husband Orlando Bloom. "I drink warm water and lemon every morning and also drink lots of good-quality purified, and preferably alkaline, water throughout the day.
"I treat myself occasionally and don't have any guilt or conditions placed on it. Food is my friend and consistency is the key. I believe that everything in moderation is best."
