Fast trips onto the I-15 from Hillery Drive, just north of Miramar College, has been staked out for months. Wooden supports stand under the concrete ramp, on the freeway westside, workers will lengthen out onto the drive.
Long distance travelers south of the busy Mira Mesa Boulevard have lacked a freeway connection on the college north side. The new ramp east of the intersection at the Black Mountain Road and Hillery Drive stoplight will shift traffic that comes out of the residential community west of Black Mountain Road. Traffic will shift south from a Mra Mesa Boulevard route or north from the Carroll Canyon Road connection.
