Mint-Infused Ginger Caipirinha: Putting a winter holiday spin on the national cocktail of Brazil

Mint-Infused Ginger Caipirinha
Giving a classic cocktail a holiday twist with mint and ginger

One of the fun aspects of mixology is taking a classic cocktail and giving it a twist. With a Caipirinha (the national cocktail of Brazil), the flavor of the fresh lime with added sugar and cachaça make it a delicious cocktail all on its own or provide a tasty foundation for a whole new cocktail entirely. Caipirinhas are refreshing cocktails and tend to be consumed during the hot summer months.

But what happens when the foundation for Caipirinha has a few extra ingredients added such as mint-infused simple syrup, fresh ginger and ginger beer? The taste profiles of the mint and ginger together turn this popular summer drink into a holiday cocktail that is ideal for consumption during the cold, winter months.
