Charlie Coyle beat Roberto Luongo between the legs off a 3-on-2 rush eight minutes and 47 seconds into the third period. Coyle took a cross-ice pass from Mikko Koivu with Zach Parise driving the net and fired a wrist shot through Luongo.
The Wild (20-11-5) dominated play after Coyle’s goal, including a 13-4 edge in shots on goal.
Jason Pominville was the third Wild shooter, but he was the only player to score in the skills competition. He fired a snap shot over the glove arm of Luongo.
The Wild came back from two one-goal deficits.
After the Canucks got on the board first at the 8:46 mark of the opening period, Zach Parise tucked shot under the glove of a sprawling Luongo on the backdoor exactly three minutes later. Parise received a pass from Koivu on the power play moments after Ryan Suter had a shot blocked.
The Canucks (20-10-6) scored the only goal of the second period when David Booth knocked a rebound past Josh Harding at the 11:01 mark.
The Wild return to action Thursday against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the CONSOL Energy Center.
