The Minnesota Wild have few roster spots with the emergence of their young stars. However, a few players still need to supplement the roster. The Wild enter the offseason with 14 unrestricted free agents and eight restricted free agents.

Here is restricted free agent right wing Justin Fontaine.

2013-14 Team(s): Minnesota Wild (NHL)

2013-14 Statistics: 66 games played, 13 goals, eight assists, 21 points, plus-6 rating, 26 penalty minutes, 1 power play goal, 1 game-winning goal, 79 shots on goal (regular season); 9 games played, 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 points, 2 penalty minutes, 13 shots on goal (playoffs)

Qualifying Offer: $660,000

Outlook: Sending him a qualifying offer is a no-brainer for the Wild. He finished fourth on the team with 13 goals in the regular season, despite being a healthy scratch several times during the season. He combined with Erik Haula at center and Nino Niederreiter or Matt Cooke at left wing to form a very good two-way third line in the postseason. He fits best on a checking line, but can move up to a scoring line if needed. The former Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog star is likely to remain with the Wild for at least another season.
