The Minnesota Wild have few roster spots with the emergence of their young stars. However, a few players still need to supplement the roster. The Wild enter the offseason with 14 unrestricted free agents and eight restricted free agents.

Here is unrestricted free agent defenseman Jon Landry.

2013-14 Team(s): Iowa Wild (AHL)

2013-14 Statistics: 50 games played, 18 assists, 18 points, plus-10 rating, 32 penalty minutes, 56 shots on goal

Outlook: The Wild signed Landry a year ago, but are unlikely to bring him back for a second season. The Wild have a pair of collegians as well as a Canadian junior or two that could make up the core of the team’s AHL affiliate in Iowa. There are also younger players that could be re-signed to fill out Iowa’s defensemen group. There just doesn’t look like there is room for the 31-year-old minor league veteran.
