Minnesota Vikings Adrian Peterson, out for blood in 2013 Pro Bowl

Minnesota Vikings running back, Adrian Peterson, promises to give the viewers their money's worth on game day, for the 2013 NFL Pro Bowl. The 2008, Pro Bowl MVP, has gone on record to announce his intentions of not going easy on the AFC competitors.

In 2012, Peterson became the sixth fastest player to reach 8,000 rushing yards, ending the season with 2,097 rushing yards, just nine yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's single season all-time record. Peterson amassed 2,314 all-purpose yards from scrimmage in 2012, tying Marcus Allen for the eighth-highest total ever.

Jan. 8, NFL News, "I'm going to play hard," Peterson told the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Monday. "It is hard for me to play down because when you play down, you put yourself in jeopardy of getting hurt going through the motions. So I won't be playing down."

The NFL Pro Bowl has been under scrutiny. NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, wants the Pro Bowl game to be more aggressive, and more competitive. The NFL players approach to the game has been a little lighter, and friendlier in the game, not fierce competition.

The fans like to see action, this is the nature of contact sports. Through the NFL Player's Union, the NFL players' agreed to be more physical in the game-play. The 2013 NFL Pro Bowl is the one to watch, as it promises more intense NFL style action.
