When the Minnesota Vikings selected defensive back Antone Exum in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, they got a versatile athlete with potential to prove he deserved to be drafted higher. What the Vikings may not have known, is they also drafted an aspiring hip-hop artist.

Apparently inspired to express his desire to overcome a January 2013 ACL injury, Exum recorded four songs and uploaded them to his personal YouTube page under the stage name "Tone."

In an inteview with the Pioneer Press, Exum says he recorded the songs "just for fun," but later realized he had some talent and decided to take his rap career more seriously. He says his first songs were recorded using only a laptop.

For now, Exum is focused less on his rap career and more on his football game.
