The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a surprising 2012 season. The team enters the offseason with higher expectations and some decisions to make.
The decisions begin with its own free agents.
Here is offensive lineman Troy Kropog.
Number: 78
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 308
College: Tulane
Experience: 3 years
2012 Stats: 1 games played (0 starts).
Career Stats: 7 games played (0 starts).
2013 Outlook: The Vikings signed him to the practice squad after the start of the season, then elevated him to the active roster to make sure other teams don't sign him. He was inactive for all four games he was on the active roster. He was a highly regarded offensive tackle prospect in the 2009 draft as a top sleeper candidate. He has not fulfilled that potential and was released by the Tennessee Titans early last season. The Vikings were impressed with him enough to do everything they could to keep him from being signed by another team, but did not give him a chance to play. It is likely the Vikings will re-sign him for another season, but that does not mean he will be on the 53-man roster come next season.
