The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a surprising 2012 season. The team enters the offseason with higher expectations and some decisions to make.
The decisions begin with its own free agents.
Here is safety Jamarca Sanford.
Number: 33
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 200
College: Mississippi
Experience: 4 years
2012 Stats: 16 games played (13 starts), 66 tackles, 5 passes defensed, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery.
Career Stats: 57 games played (31 starts), 192 tackles, 1 sack, 10 passes defensed, 2 interceptions, 6 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries.
2013 Outlook: The former seventh round draft pick has been a solid contributor on special teams throughout his career. He has been given the opportunity to play safety, but was ineffective. Last season, that changed and he played well while Mistral Raymond was injured. Despite good play last season, he still provides the most value on special teams. The Vikings will likely re-sign him to serve the same capacity as he did last season.
