The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a surprising 2012 season. The team enters the offseason with higher expectations and some decisions to make.
The decisions begin with its own free agents.
Here is wide receiver Devin Aromashodu.
Experience: 4 years
2012 Stats: 15 games played (no starts) – 11 receptions – 182 receiving yards.
Career Stats: 78 receptions - 1,193 receiving yards - 5 touchdowns.
2013 Outlook: He was a free agent the Vikings sought following the 2010 season. His best game as a Viking came in Week 13 of the 2011 season with six catches for 90 yards against the Denver Broncos. He had just two better games statistically while playing for the Chicago Bears, one of which came against the Vikings in 2009. The Vikings were hoping they were signing a tall, fast receiver that torched them for seven catches for 150 yards and a touchdown, but he lacked the physicality and toughness to be a consistent deep threat. He is a capable fourth or fifth receiver. The Vikings could bring him back to compete for those roles, but the high need to upgrade the position at the No. 1 and 2 spots make it unlikely.
