The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a surprising 2012 season. The team enters the offseason with higher expectations and some decisions to make.
The decisions begin with its own free agents.
Here is cornerback A.J. Jefferson.
Number: 24
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 190
College: Fresno State
Experience: 3 years
2012 Stats: 15 games played (7 starts), 37 tackles, 5 passes defensed, 1 fumble recovery.
Career Stats: 33 games played (14 starts), 104 tackles, 18 passes defensed, 1 interception, 2 fumble recoveries.
2013 Outlook: The Vikings traded for him last September. He showed some ability to play in zone coverage. However, he really struggled with his ball skills and lost a lot of jump ball opportunities. He is a guy that could be on the free agent market until late in the offseason. The Vikings likely will re-sign him, unless selects a cornerback early in the draft or makes a significant cornerback signing in free agency.
