High School: Mentor

Hometown: Mentor, Ohio

Position: Wide Receiver

Height: 6-2

Weight: 190

My Assessment: He played both quarterback and wide receiver in high school. He has very good acceleration and vision in space. He can find the hole and exploit it. He is a good route runner that can lose defensive backs with double moves. He catches the ball with both his hands and body. He is uses both techniques at the appropriate time. Overview: Received three-star status from ESPN, Rivals and Scout and two stars from 247Sports - ESPN lists him as the No. 83 player in Ohio and as the No. 192 wide receiver in his class - Scout tabs him as the 135th wide receiver in the nation and 247Sports has him ranked as the No. 108 player in Ohio.

ESPN Analysis: Good ability to control his body and find a way to get open - uses head and technique to get open - catches the ball away from his body with his hands and in a very relaxed and confident manner - knows what to do with it as he can maneuver in the open field easily - will compete and make plays because of his work ethic and attitude.

High School: Attends Mentor High School - led team to a 13-2 record and a spot in the Division I state championship game - moved from wide receiver to quarterback for his senior year and passed for 3,.230 yards and 32 touchdowns on the season - set a Division I state title game record with 419 passing yards - also rushed for 1,455 yards and 23 touchdowns on the season - received the Tony Fisher Award as the News-Herald’s Player of the Year and was also a Mr. Football finalist - earned’s Offensive Player of the Year honors and First-Team All-Ohio honors - caught 71 passes for 985 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior - made 26 catches for 401 yards and nine touchdowns as a sophomore - member of the 2012 Division I state championship Mentor basketball team - football coach was Steve Trivisonno.
