High School: Washburn

Hometown: Minneapolis, Minn.

Position: Running Back

Height: 6-0

Weight: 198

My Assessment: He is a big-play threat with power. He has the ability to score every time he touches the ball, but is not a strictly outside-the-tackles runner. He has the strength, balance and power to run through defenders. He also possesses the wiggle to make defenders miss in space. He also excels in the passing game with good hands and blocking ability.

Gophersports.com Overview: Ranked as the No. 1 player in Minnesota by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports - received four-star status from ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports and Scout - pegged as the No. 7 running back in his class by Rivals and as the No. 9 and No. 12 back by 247Sports and ESPN - listed as the 44th best player in the nation by Rivals and is the 60th best player in the country according to 247Sports - ranked 137th on ESPN’s top 300 players.

ESPN Analysis: Big-framed running back with a good combination of size and straight-line speed - tall, well-built frame - good upper-body playing strength - ability to read linebacker flow quickly and cutback through the hole with good anticipation - effectively bounce out of the pile - displays the lateral quickness to break to the outside extending his runs - ability to slide off the edge - more than adequate power and balance on contact - attacks defenders and is aggressive when in traffic - big upside to flourish as a power runner - good blend of size, speed and ball skills.
