High School: Wyandotte

Hometown: Kansas City, Mo.

Position: Quarterback

Height: 6-0

Weight: 214

My Assessment: He doesn’t have the ideal measureables to play quarterback, but he throws the ball pretty well. He is accurate down the field and can drop the ball just over the defender. He has escapability within the pocket. He can keep plays alive with his feet. He physically looks more like a running back than a quarterback.

Overview: Enrolled at Minnesota in January 2014 and will participate in spring practice.

High School: Attended Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kan. - two-time all-state quarterback - Kansas City-Atchison League Player of the Year - 2013 Sports Highlights Unlimited Kansas City Prospect of the Year - also named all-city, all-county and all-area - passed for 2,527 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior in 2013 - also ran for 519 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013 - rated a three-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals.com and Scout.com - also a letterwinner in basketball and track.

Personal: Born Dec. 16, 1995 - son of Leonard McKinzy and Deusa McKinzy, and step-mother Andrean McKinzy - has five siblings: Xavier, Deonaven, Tatyana, Kemora and Yasmine - plans to major in entrepreneurial management.
