Position: Offensive Lineman

Height: 6-5

My Assessment: He is a big and strong interior offensive lineman. He is agile and strong. He does not lock onto defensive lineman, but does not get beat. He has the skills to make an immediate impact for the Gophers. Overview: Scout ranks him as a four-star recruit, while ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports gave him three-star status - Scout tabs him as a the No. 2 prospect at his position, while 247Sports lists him at No. 5 and Rivals places him at No. 12 - is the 57th best player in Texas according to Scout, while Rivals has him at No. 73 and ESPN at No. 103.

ESPN Analysis: Dominant run blocker - has the explosive pop and surge needed to knock defenders back - has the hand strength needed to control and maneuver defenders once contact is made - has balance and agility to play on his feet and adjust to quickness within tight spaces - reach and initial punch can shock rushers at the line - ability to slide and gain leverage - displays double read potential along with the ability to recover and get out of trouble in space - strong inline blocker with the initial quickness and athleticism needed to pull/trap - comes off the ball with good fit and explosion - can gain and sustain an immediate advantage due to his blocking base and persistent leg drive - has pop and surge needed to consistently knock defenders back - releases quickly to the second level and takes proper angles - tough customer who finishes with the nasty effort - handles the shotgun snap while demonstrating the ability to control defenders.

High School: Attends Van Alstyne High School - helped lead team to a 7-5 overall record as a senior - protected for a Panthers’ offense that averaged 250.7 rushing yards per game - competed in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl for the West Team and was named to the 2013 USA Today All-Texas Team.
