My Assessment: He is physical, aggressive and athletic. He makes plays all over the field. He doesn’t just hit ball carriers, he runs through them. He needs to be more consistent as a tackler - goes for the big hit instead of wrapping up too often. He can play in coverage or against the run. He is very good at navigating traffic without engaging blockers. He has the ability to be an immediate impact player for the Gophers defense.

Previous School: Transferred from Iowa Western - recorded 80 tackles (32 solo) as a freshman, as his team went 11-1 - notched two interceptions (both of which were returned for touchdowns) and forced one fumble - recorded 8.5 tackles-for-a-loss and broke up two passes, as team pitched five shutouts and allowed an average of only 11.2 points per game - had one rush on the year, which was a 4-yard gain on a fake punt.
High School: Is a graduate of Spirit Lake high school in Spirit Lake, Iowa - during his senior year he helped lead his team to a 15-1 record and the 2012 Class 2A state title, excelling at both linebacker and running back - named all-conference and all-state as a senior - coached by Josh Bolluyt.
Personal: Son of Jodi Wollmath and Kevin Poock - has five siblings - plans to major in business.
