Position: Defensive End

Height: 6-4

My Assessment: He has the size to make an immediate impact sealing the edge on the strong side. He can manipulate offensive linemen with hands. He does a good job of getting off blocks. He has the ability to find and make a play on the ball in both run support and pass rushing. Overview: Received a three-star rating from ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports and Scout - ranked as the No. 4 recruit in Minnesota by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports - 247Sports lists him as the 38th best strong-side defensive end, while ESPN ranks him as the No. 82 defensive end in his class.

ESPN Analysis: Dominant defensive lineman - has both tight space quickness and range to the sideline - quick off the mark, demonstrating the ability to play low with good leverage - quick to disengage, not getting stuck on blocks - agility and balance allow him to keep his feet - can move through traffic to the football - effective with a straight on power move and arm over change up - displays the quickness and leverage needed to squeeze the top of the pocket on power move and arm over change up - continual foot movement, and ability to change direction is impressive - tough customer who will not stay blocked - very good wrap tackler who doesn’t allow cheap yards after contact - relentless pursuing the football.

High School: Attends Owatonna High School - helped team finish 13-0 and led Huskies to their first state championship, beating Brainerd in the 2013 Class 5A final - previously made a Prep Bowl appearance in 2012, as team finished 12-1 - named first team All-State by the Minnesota Associated Press as a junior and a senior - made 58 tackles and recovered two fumbles as a senior, as he was named to the Owatonna Peopl’s Press 2013 All-Area Team - set a school record with 12 sacks as a junior as he was named Owatonna People’s Press Player of the Year - is Owatonna’s career sack leader - also plays basketball and is a thrower for Owatonna’s track and field team - football coach was Jeff Williams.
