Outlook: The Gophers snuck out of Murfreesboro with a seven-point victory in the last meeting between the two teams. The Blue Raiders went on to finish third in the Sun Belt Conference and lost the GoDaddy.com Bowl.

The Gophers are going in the right direction under head coach Jerry Kill and are coming off their best season since 2003. The Blue Raiders are trying to elevate their program’s status with a move to Conference USA. They finished tied for second in the East Division last season, which was their inaugural campaign in the conference.
