Outlook: Last season, the Wolverines blasted the Gophers in the “Big House” in their conference opener before collapsing. They finished the season with losses in their last three games and six of their last eight.

The Wolverines have regressed in each season since winning the Sugar Bowl in Hoke’s first season as their head coach. They went 11-2 in 2011, but went 8-5 and 7-6 with bowl losses in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Even though the program has taken steps backward, the Wolverines have beaten the Gophers in three straight games and 39 of the last 42 meetings dating back to 1968.
