The 2013-14 Big Ten regular season wraps up this weekend, and the Gophers’ part in it sees Minnesota travel to Ann Arbor, MI for games with the Michigan Wolverines. Friday’s opening contest is set for 5:30pm CT (ESPNNews and WatchESPN) while Saturday’s 6pm CT start is set for BTN and

Let’s take you inside the numbers for the final time this season. (Note: There will be no Numbers article previewing the Big Ten Championship that takes place Mar 20-22.)

130: Minnesota owns a 130-117-4 all-time record against Michigan, but Minnesota is actually 1-2-0 in the last three played in Ann Arbor.

15: Dating back to October 21, Minnesota has been a consensus #1 rated team in college hockey over fifteen weeks. Consensus means that the Gophers were rated #1 in both the USCHO and USA Today polls.

3: Minnesota has been the consensus #2 rated team three times this year over three consecutive weeks from Feb 10’s polls through the polls of Mar 3.

29: Michigan’s JT Compher leads the Wolverines in points with twenty-nine, and also leads the Wolverines with eighteen assists. Minnesota’s Kyle Rau leads the Gophers with thirty-two points and twenty-two assists.

7: Seven is a lucky number for Michigan’s Phil Di Giuseppe. In nine games this season when he has scored, Michigan is 7-2-0.

2: During the series between the Gophers and Wolverines in Minneapolis back in February, Michigan went a combined 2-6 on the power play. Minnesota was 2-12.

20: Entering this weekend, Minnesota has scored three or more goals twenty-two times this season. Their record when three goals go up? 20-0-2.
