Erin Henderson, the 27-year-old linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings, was arrested on Jan.1 in Carver County, Minn. on suspicion of DUI and charged with multiple infractions, including refusal to take a Breathalyzer test.

Driving a black SUV at the time of his arrest, police say that Henderson’s vehicle went off the road, prompting the veteran NFL player’s second DUI arrest in under two months, according to USA Today.

Henderson was booked by the Carver County Sherriff’s Office at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the Carver County Sheriff's Office:

... Henderson's car skidded off the road and into a grassy area and then a parking lot before hitting trees.

The front of the car was "heavily damaged."

Henderson was alone in the car and uninjured. The officers said he appeared to be under the influence of alcohol …

The Minnesota Vikings posted a very brief statement on their website, saying, "We are aware of the matter involving Erin Henderson."

"We are continuing to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time."

He was charged with “2nd and 3rd degree DWI and Test Refusal, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and violation of a limited driver license.”

Henderson posted his $12,000 bail and was released from the Carver Co. Jail. He’ll be back in court on March 3.

On Nov. 19, the linebacker was arrested “for probable cause DWI and possession of a controlled substance.”

Erin Henderson was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football for the University of Maryland. He was born and raised in Aberdeen, Md., where he played quarterback and linebacker for Aberdeen High School in Harford County, Md.
