Simon, a handsome miniature Schnauzer, is missing in Northeast Ohio.

Simon, missing in NE Ohio
Lauren Smith

He was adopted by his family in mid February. He's a skittish little guy but was warming up to them rather quickly. He's 10 lbs, 3 years old, black & white, neutered, and microchipped.

He was on a walk when he was startled by some pedestrians, jerked out of his harness, and took off onto Clarence Avenue towards Lakewood Heights Blvd., running up every driveway, confused. He eventually went up a driveway, possibly into a garage or backyard, and disappeared from sight.

His family has searched for hours, listed his flyer on countless Facebook pages in NE Ohio, e mailed and faxed every animal hospital, rescue, shelter, groomer, and pet store within 5 miles, paid PetAmber to call 500 neighbors, taken out paid ads in local newpapers, and plastered their neighborhood with flyers, mailers, and yard signs, and even passed them out to postal workers. They've also checked local, nearby, and county shelters by visiting and calling and continue to list ads on Craigslist in the lost and found section.

In the three weeks they've had Simon, they've fallen completely in love with him and just want him back.

If you have any information on Simon's whereabouts or you spot him, please contact Lauren at 440-258-6945. There is a substantial reward being offered.

Let's bring Simon home !!
