2013 brought numerous major national awards and recognitions for the Michigan Philharmonic for innovative programming and the orchestras’ award winning Conductor, Nan Washburn - And the New Year will be no exception as the Michigan Philharmonic presents its annual Chamber Concert in the beautiful Chapel at St. John’s in Plymouth.
The concert will feature the Michigan Philharmonic Wind Ensemble which will include a unique combination of wind instruments performing Mozart’s extraordinary “Gran Partita”. In addition, the concert features a special performance by Michigan Phil Concertmaster Joseph Deller. He will be performing “Ladder to the Moon” - a beautiful piece by University of Michigan Composer, Michael Daugherty, based on Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings of the New York skyline. Concert goer also have the opportunity to attend a special Pre-Concert Brunch at 5ive at St. John’s prior to the concert at 11:30am. The cost of the brunch is $30.
