Miniature dachsund mangled in freak accident at magazine headquarters

It was a sad tale at The Tatler in London yesterday, when the Magazine's official mascot, Alan was tragically killed after his neck became caught in a revolving door.

According to News.Au, the miniature dachshund was walking out of Code Nast's Vogue House headquarters on Hanover Square when he bolted toward the entrance and became trapped. Although local firefighters were called, they were unable to save him, and Alan died at the scene. It was also reported that one man involved in the accident had to be treated for shock.

Alan (who belonged to magazine assistant Jennifer George) was well-known and "deeply loved" in the industry and even had more than 2500 followers on his Twitter account @Tatler Alan.

*Tatler a glamorous "must-read" is known for its various supplements including The Travel and Restaurant Guides, the often referred to and closely watched Most Invited and The Little Black Book lists, and the hugely popular parties that accompanied them.
