I was perusing Pinterest one afternoon for a cute and easy dessert to make for Valentine's Day. If you have never checked out Pinterest, you are missing out on a plethora of great craft and cooking ideas. I frequently find myself losing hours getting sucked into Pinterest.
After searching for a few minutes, I came across this recipe for Chocolate Chip Oreo Cookie Mini Pies. These pies are very easy to make. All you need is refrigerated pie dough, refrigerated cookie dough and Oreo cookies.
My mom gave me a mini heart pie press a few years ago, and this was the perfect chance for me to finally use it. All you need to do is cut out hearts out of the pie dough, fill with cookie dough and Oreos, press the pie together and bake. In 8 minutes, you will have a delicious and easy mini heart pie! This is the perfect dessert to make for Valentine's day, and takes just minutes.
Valentine Mini Pies (recipe from Living Locurto)
refrigerated pie crust
chocolate chip cookie dough
Oreo cookies
1 egg
Preheat oven to 400º.
Cut two hearts out of rolled out pie crust.
Fill the inside of the crust with half of an Oreo and bits of chocolate chip cookie dough. If you don't have a pie press, just use a fork to press the edges of the two hearts together.
Place pies on a cookie sheet. Prick with a fork. Brush a bit of egg over the top. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
