‘Minecraft: Xbox One Edition’ gets a clever tease from 4J Studios

Originally planned to be a launch title on Microsoft’s next-gen system, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition was delayed so that 4J Studios could instead focus on releasing the Playstation 3 version of Minecraft. Now that the PS3 edition launched last month, it appears that work has once again started on the upcoming Xbox One version after the developer cleverly teased a new screenshot of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition from their Twitter account on Friday.

4J Studios disguised the teaser image by strategically placing a monitor displaying the screen in the background of another picture. The developer has repeatedly used this same tactic in the past to tease previous Minecraft texture packs and to reveal some of the first images from Minecraft: PS3 Edition.

In addition to developing a version of the popular block-building game for Xbox One and Playstation 4, 4J Studios is also currently working on a secret texture pack for the PS3 as well as Title Update 14 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. The upcoming title update will introduce Adventure Mode to the console version of the game.
