4J Studios release a new image for "Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition" Wednesday that highlights some of the new features that are coming as part of Title Update 9.
The image shows a four-player split screen with each split screen hiding multiple new items for "Minecraft" fans to hunt and find. We've scanned through the images and checked with other sources and here is what we think is being shown.
Obviously, the image in the top left shows The End along with the Ender Dragon. The look of the "health beam" is also different from the PC version.
Meanwhile, the image at the top right shows stackable signs, the ability to crouch and the option to disable the animated character that normally appears at the top left of the screen. You'll also notice the spawn eggs are included in the item hot bar as well and are stackable. The item frame indicates that they are only stackable to 16 though versus the 64 in the PC version.
The image on the bottom left with the map indicates that a new beach location has been added to the Xbox 360 version of "Minecraft" which is seemingly confirmed by a tweet from 4J Studios. "[T]he beach is a beach," the developer said as an obvious hint.
You should also notice a large white "X" on the bottom left of the map in the image. This indicates the location of the End Portal if another player is in The End.
The image on the bottom right with the waterfall shows off climbable vines plus item frames featuring 3D item drops including a fire charge, nether brick slab and sandstone stairs. And that water? It is coming out from a dispenser block that is holding a water bucket with water in it. 4J Studios confirmed that the dispenser will be able to do the same with lava.
4J Studios confirmed that the Jungle Biome will not be in Title Update 9.
A release date for Title Update 9 has not been announced yet as it is still in development.
