4J Studios, the developer of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” and its recently-released TU12 patch, has further commented about the trailer and launch date for the first mash-up pack of the video game. A spokesperson from the studio confirmed through Twitter on Aug. 31 that the video of the new DLC should be made available for public viewing starting at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the U.K.
Although the trailer will be showcasing the first mash-up pack for “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition,” it won’t be disclosing a launch date. The spokesperson explained that the development team at 4J Studios is still awaiting confirmation on when the DLC will be released. They expected to have an answer in the next several days. No, we're still waiting for confirmation of the release date. It'll be a few days after the trailer.
The mash-up pack element came with the TU12 patch of “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.” A free trail version of the DLC will be offered for players to check out some of the contents before deciding whether or not to purchase the new customization options on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The same development team at 4J Studios is also developing the PS3, PS4, Playstation Vita and Xbox One versions of “Minecraft.” They have not yet announced whether or not they will be bringing mash-up packs to the other console iterations.
