Fans still unsure about what mash-up packs will change inside 4J Studios’ Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be given to opportunity to try the content for no charge when the upcoming overhaul packs are eventually released. While detailing a recent description where the developer attempted to detail the mash-up packs via their official Twitter account, OXM revealed on Thursday that gamers will be able to download free trials of the packs once they officially launch.
This will allow fans to try out the content before making a purchase. Players will be able to play the trials for as long as they wish, but their game can’t be saved after the mash-up pack trial is applied.
Support for mash-up packs inside Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition was added to the game with last week’s release of Title Update 12. While the game can technically use the packs after the latest update has been installed, no mash-up pack has officially been released at this time. 4J Studios has confirmed that they are still waiting on their legal team to give them the approval to reveal the new content which will allow players to visually alter the appearance of the Xbox 360 version of the block-filled game.
Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can be picked up now as a digital download from Xbox Live Arcade or in retail stores. The developer is also currently working on versions of Minecraft for release on the Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
